We are currently partnering with a leading global insurance client based in the city, with a mandate to expand their strategic procurement team with an experienced IT & Technology procurement professional.  As Procurement Manager - IT, you will support the Procurement Manager in all procurement activity, from RFI/RFP's to strategic sourcing and SRM to contracts management.

This is a great opportunity for those with a sound Technology procurement background behind them, to take the next step up into a growing function, where you will be given the autonomy to manage your own spend areas and develop successful category plans to benefit the wider business across all IT & Telco services and contracts. Ideally as Procurement Manager - IT, you will have experience of working in an international environment, understand the needs of the stakeholder community and provide general commercial advice to the wider business.

Experience Required:

• Strong IT & Technology procurement experience, having ideally covered areas such as Computing service models (On-Premise, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS), including hardware, software, network and telecoms procurement
• Demonstrable experience of complex contract negotiations with suppliers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers and stakeholders, able to challenge in a positive way
• Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
