Agile Project Manager - Procurement - £65,000 + package - London

This award-winning leading technology major are going through a major Procurement transformation and are looking to hire a commercially astute professional with good Agile project management experience ideally within the Procurement space. You will be joining a new PMO function, headed up by an award winning PMO Procurement professional who has recently joined from a Tier 1 Management Consultancy.

Having a strong understanding of Agile methodologies is a key pre-exquisite for this role, while understanding Waterfall methodologies is also important to succeed in this role.

In this role you will full responsibility of the management the full project lifecycle for projects and workstreams related to the Procurement function, whilst ensuring full visibility of project delivery status including timelines, risks & issues, key milestones for Procurement leadership and stakeholders.

The success of the role will be measured on the delivery of projects and workstreams, in terms of timing, costs, benefits, quality and stakeholder feedback. This exciting opportunity will see the successful candidate joining a company where their professionalism and their collaborative nature set them apart from their competitors.

The following skills are necessary for a successful application: -

  • Understanding of Agile Methodologies is a must for this role
  • Extensive experience in large-scale project management and benefits management, ideally within the Procurement arena and a complex multi-disciplinary environment
  • Experience of managing complex projects within a matrixed organisation that affect large and multinational teams
  • Experience of managing and successfully deploying strategic change maybe in a single domain
  • Ability to operate at senior level, delivering key messages and supporting decision making, while managing complex stakeholders
  • Experienced user of, and/or accredited in, a formal Project Management methodology such as Prince2, Risk Management Qualification or 6 Sigma - not essential but beneficial
  • Experience and enthusiasm in improving processes, risk management and transforming group functions
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management, ideally with strong academics
