Operations / Technical Manager Salary: 45K – 55K Benefits: Van, Phone, State Pension provided Location: Great Dunmow CM6 1XN Our client is a Millennium-born company offering expert insight to the building services industry on a national scale, with impressive experience and a unique approach to challenges. Due to continued success they are looking to recruit an Operations/Technical Manager whose main aim is to plan, organise, direct, co-ordinate and control Field Service activity within the UK. As the Operations/Technical manager you will be expected to develop and lead an effective, well-motivated and flexible team that understands the Company's aims and strives to achieve them and to maintain an ethos of Think Customer and Customer Service, that meets the Company Objectives and complies with our mission statement. Duties Include: Ensure health and safety is considered first, and best practice is followed, in every situation Be a champion of the environment, quality and process compliance Meet customer targets and expectations by the most cost-effective use of resources To develop new and existing relationships based on trust, integrity and delivery Meet financial targets for revenue P&L, margin, recoveries, invoicing, costs, and stock control To provide accurate monthly forecasts and contribute to annual budget setting Review workload up to 3 months ahead in order to plan resources and recruit if required Be involved in all recruitment stages for engineers and office staff Engage with Engineers on a weekly basis Ensure that all test equipment is maintained and calibrated Ensure that the company fleet is maintained and that regular van checks are completed Conduct random spot checks on engineers via trackers and other software available to yourself Conduct regular meetings with team members Ensure the provision of management information is available in the agreed timescales. Support in all key client contracts Support both colleagues and clients in technical enquiries relating to the electrical industry Support in producing Electrical Remedial/Install quotations Liaise with clients and attend site meetings in order to provide technical advice Deliver annual appraisals for all team members Support in HR matters that arise within team The Ideal Candidate: Previous experience in a similar role Knowledge of relevant regulatory and safety requirements Degree in related subject or relevant experience Knowledge of uncertainty budgets People management experience Knowledge of internal auditing procedures and techniques IT literate Results focussed, demonstrated through a track record of performance improvement Exceptional communication skills Embrace responsibility and accountability Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills High personal standards with a ‘can do’ way of working If you feel you are the ideal candidate APPLY today!
