Mane Contract Services are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager to work for a world leading Heavy Lift company.
Contract: Permanent
Location: Based in Liverpool with travel opportunities to work in the Kent and Hinkley point offices.
Salary: Between £60,000- £80,000 dependant on experience + a fantastic company benefit scheme.
Responsibilities Include:
*Liaise with directors and management to make decisions for operational activities and set
strategic goals
*Recruitment and development of staff ensuring adherence to company systems and procedures
*Regularly produce and presents a range of performance reports for the Managing Director and
the Board as required
*Setting and implementing sales strategies
*Takes a lead role in building a strong sales management culture with the operations team;
spends time coaching and mentoring personnel, identifying skills and opportunities for
development; provides advice and guidance on all staff issues when needed.
*Customer account management
*Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress
*Supervise staff from different departments and provide constructive feedback
*Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives
and apply improvements
*Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation
*Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
*Delivery of services within the operational budgets to promote profitability
*Revise and/or formulate policies and promote their implementation
*Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
*Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing and interpreting data and metrics
*Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Senior Operational role or equivalent position
* Deep knowledge of crane and lifting industry market
* Experience in providing technical and commercial bids
* Experience of working on large scale projects
* Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
* Outstanding communication and people skills
* Knowledge of lifting industry's regulations and guidelines
* In depth knowledge of diverse business functions and principles (e.g. supply chain, finance,
customer service etc.)
* Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operation metrics
* Familiarity with MS Office and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
* AutoCAD proficient
