The ideal candidate will need management experience within a Warehouse/Logistics environment.
Our client has grown massively over the past 6 years with year on year growth. They have grown over 50% over the past 6 years!
The company deals with specialist Food and Drink distribution for over 16 countries within Europe and a few slightly further.
The hours of work will be 7:30/8:00am until 5:30/6:00pm depending on the work load.
You will be managing a compact team of Warehouse Operatives and Forklift Drivers.
The role will entail the following:
Delegating certain tasks to the team and make sure these are done efficiently.
Following company procedures
Adopting new ways of working and be computer literate
Working in both Ambient and Cold chain environments (12*c for Ambient and down to 2*c for Cold chain)
Sign off delivery paperwork and process missing orders
speak to logistic companies in regards to delivery times and expected delivery levels.
processing orders
operating mechanical and IT systems
liaising with transport companies, suppliers and clients
training, supervising and appraising staff.
maintaining statistical and financial records.
devising rotas for staff.
ensuring that quality objectives and delivery deadlines are met.
managing budgets.As this is a growing company, there is plenty of opportunity to grow with the company.
The warehouse will have its own stocked canteen with high end quality goods. You will be able to operate the canteen and food is supplied daily. Free refreshments!
