My client is a fast growing, expanding freight forwarder seeking an experienced HR GENERALIST to join their busy HR team!

Daily duties include:

  • Assist in recruitment processes
  • Issuing contracts to new members of staff
  • Completing introductions with new starters
  • Monitoring sickness trends
  • Payroll
  • Maintain employee files including 5 year checks/ DBS checks
  • Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Keep update on employment laws
  • Reporting to the HR manager

Skills needed:

  • Good knowledge of the freight forwarding industry
  • CIPD Level 5 +
  • Experience working on projects
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written
  • Steady work history
  • Quick thinking
  • Must have a full UK driving licence (due to travelling to other branches)
  • Experience using Microsoft excel, outlook & word

Working hours:

  • Monday-Friday 09:00-17:30
