Buyer

Butler Ross are working closely with a well-established company located on the outskirts of Southampton who are looking for an experienced, passionate and motivated Buyer to join their friendly team on a permanent basis.

Main responsibilities of the Buyer

  • Sourcing and purchasing all goods and materials
  • Liaising with the management team with regards to purchases and scheduling
  • Researching and negotiating best prices, cost savings, and agreeing contracted prices with key suppliers
  • Identify and approach new and existing suppliers to improve the current supply chain where appropriate
  • Identify and resolve invoice queries and approving all invoices against the orders - liaising with the finance team
  • Maintain and update the system database

Skills & Experience required of the Buyer:

  • Experienced and competent Buyer
  • Experience negotiating best price and cost savings
  • A self-motivated and proactive individual with good organisational skills

Location: Southampton

Salary: £30,000pa Circa

Job type: Permanent

This position would suit someone with experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Assistant, Senior Buyer, Junior Buyer, Procurement Manager.
