A Procurement team embarking on an exciting journey of transformation is seeking 2 Sourcing Specialists to compliment category managers across divisions.

With a newly created vision paper and an ambition to drive change, this Procurement team welcome an individual who is passionate and proactive; in joining this team the Sourcing Specialist will strive for best practice and leave a lasting impact on this FTSE 100 business.

As Sourcing Specialist your key responsibilities will be:

  • Carry out and own applicable sourcing and Procurement activity aligned with category plans and wider team scope ad hoc requirements
  • Leveraging digital technologies to drive competition and reduce cost and leverage digital workflows to look for leakage and new sourcing opportunities
  • Identify new category sourcing projects/opportunities based on pipeline or wider market/category intelligence
  • Negotiate required contracts and Statement of Work to the required standard and aligned to policy and best practice
  • Align with the new supplier and P2P processes to leverage spend and sourcing impact
  • In all situations where suppliers provide goods and services directly to our external customers, ensure that all procurement activity and supplier relationships are managed in line with Customer Experience and Treating Customers Fairly Policy

Skills and experience required:

  • Experience of sourcing /Procurement processes and supporting tools
  • Experience of contract negotiation and drafting
  • Ability to independently draft/review contracts/Statement of Works
  • Cross-category knowledge
  • Negotiation experience
  • Commercial negotiation experience and awareness
  • MCIPS or studying towards (desirable)
