Are you an experienced Senior Buyer? Someone who has Far East travel experience and can utilise your knowledge to expand the already established company? If so, we would love to hear from you! If you would like to be considered for the Senior Buyer role you will be responsible for the following:

Meeting, managing, assessing, engaging and motivating suppliers
Drive, manage and motivate a small team to support the sales departments with timely responses to customer-driven inquiries
Proposing and developing alternative supply sources
Implement appropriate process and disciplines
Follow customer/market trends to develop Household, Homewares and General Merchandise categories
Produce timely and accurate buying forecasts, plans, analyses, and cost reduction recommendations to enable budgets to be controlled and to make further decisions based on key drivers to improve company profitability
Identify, assess and monitor additional information/data which could be used in decision making, planning and forecasting
Assist the Buying/Managing Director on existing and future negotiations of external service providers
Utilise the knowledge and initiative of employees Key requirements:

Far East experience is desirable
The process led to purchasing methods experience
Demonstrable passion for procurement and the category/industry
Retail industry supply experience is desirable
Experience managing a team is desirable
Demonstrate effective leadership, motivation, and people management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to plan to meet deadlines through the personal organisation
Strong communication skills
Ability to prioritise multiple concurrent projects
