Our client is a leading provider of fabrication and engineering services for the offshore sector. They now require a Buyer to work from their busy North East facility on an ongoing contract basis.

The Role

Efficient and accurate use of Sage system to monitor all open purchase orders and ensuring the products are delivered on time

Work with the stores team to ensure that all deliveries satisfy the assigned purchase orders and report any back-ordered or missing products
Assist the Project Managers with maintaining proper inventory levels of materials used on a regular basis

Stock control
Budgeting

Strong negotiating skills with suppliers to get the best possible pricing and payment options, and maintaining relationships with existing suppliers while seeking new ones

Comprehensive understanding of Sage 50, Excel and MS Word

Impeccable attention to detail

Ability to work well with a team
