Head of technology Procurement

HEAD OF TECHNOLOGY PROCUREMENT -- £85-90K + BONUS - SOUTHWEST

This household name electronic manufacturing company is looking for a technology procurement manager to oversee all aspects of end to end supplier and stakeholder management. This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced IT procurement professional to join an innovative global company with over 12,000 employees. The company is going through an extended period of growth and transformation and requires a forward-thinking procurement expert to work with internal stakeholders, contributing to producing cutting edge, high quality and innovative products.

This role could be in several locations in the South West of England.

Head of Technology Procurement Role Overview:

• Manage IT outsourced services to ensure commercial effectiveness and aim to achieve significant savings for the company
• Managing existing and new supplier relationships, whilst establishing future strategies which are aligned with the company's business model
• Displaying strong stakeholder management to influence policy and business outcomes
• Act as a role model for junior procurement professionals, bringing a positive attitude, excellent people management skills and a clear forward-thinking direction.
• Enhancing the categories operating model by applying advanced analytical thinking and market knowledge.

Head of Technology Procurement Requirements:

• Global experience in negotiating IT contracts, outsourced supplier management and IT category management
• Strong academic track record, MCIPS desired but not essential
• Able to display excellent communication and relationship management skills with experience engaging and influencing executive level stakeholders.
• Project management experience and an understanding of E-procurement processes desirable.
• British or EU passport or holding a valid visa allowing you to live and work in the UK without any restriction
