Staffline is recruiting for a Logistics Planner, working for one of our most prestigious client's based in Erdington, Birmingham. Salary circa £27,000 per annum This is a temporary role for maternity cover for 12 months. We are looking for an immediate start and until August 2020, although this role could become a permanent role for the right candidate. We are currently looking for a strong team player. You will ensure that efficient UK Strategic / Tactical plans are on place through Paragon routing systems, perform optimisation activities and cost effective planning with minimal disruption to the current A-B solution. Also to plan additional requirements and weekend build planning in line with customer requirements, communications with internal customers at all levels. The right candidates will have the potential for career progression. Your time at work The main responsibilities are to produce, amend and communicate daily plans via the tactical planning team. You will be required to ensure strict timelines are agreed and delivered throughout all levels and functions within the business. Also formulation and management of Daily planning activity will be involved.  This is a demanding role and you will be working alongside our client within a busy transport office. Main accountabilities to include but not be limited to: To manage / co-ordinate plans with respect to planning collections from suppliers in scope To conduct analysis and validation of customer derived data ensuring full sign off is agreed from all parties To interrogate data and investigate solutions in a timely manner To co-ordinate the planning solution activity across the UK, meeting both the customer & business needs To support benchmarking of solutions (resource models and costs) to ensure best practice (within the businesses and within the industry “competitors”), thereby ensuring the solutions is both effective and cost competitive To coordinate timely delivery of accurate collection plans Accurate management of network changes and additional / cancelled collections on a daily basis Adherence to UK planning activity and re-plan timelines Our perfect worker The ideal candidate will have the following skill base: A good degree of computer literacy, with knowledge Ms Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Word Ability to demonstrate analytical and logical thinking Good standard of data manipulation skills Good Team Leadership and managing relationships skills Ability to collaborate internally to provide customer service Excellent communication skills (at all levels) – good listener and effective in communicating ideas Strong and effective organising, planning and process work methods Problem solving skills, identifies issues, problems and opportunities, analyses cause and effect, implements corrective action Good standard of project management skills Technical aptitude in the use of a variety of supporting software tools Generates enthusiasm and has a positive attitude to change, overcomes barriers to change, seeks opportunities to improve processes, plans & carries through change Interviews will be held immediately.
