Are you an experienced international procurement professional looking for an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative global automotive firm? This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious and driven procurement professional with expertise in non-production, indirect, spend to join a growing global team. As the EMEA Commodity Manager for Non-Production spend you will oversee a spend of over €70M, covering in large part Capex, Tools and MRO across 7 facilities in the region, playing a key role in developing and implementing best in class souring and supplier management strategy.

Your primary responsibilities as Indirect Procurement Manager - Capex will include:-

  • Provide subject matter expertise related to local and regional market conditions, technologies and services to support the global procurement team with risk management and decision making
  • Work closely with the Global Commodity Director to develop and implement local and regional sourcing strategy
  • Proactively work to identify opportunities to implement new processes and optimize existing processes
  • Manage supplier selection and preferred supplier list for the region and drive compliance across all plants in the EMEA region
  • Provide hands-on support and guidance to plant purchasing teams in line with new sourcing strategies
  • Deliver an exceptional cost and budget management strategy aligned with global targets
  • Deploy an effective supplier performance management strategy to ensure optimal cost, performance and delivery from preferred suppliers

To be suitable for the position of Indirect Procurement Manager - Capex you should have the following skills and experience:-

  • Proven ability to drive cost savings initiatives at local and regional level and to implement changes and improvements to existing business processes
  • Technical commodity experience in the area of non-production, indirect, spend within an Automotive, Machinery or Engineering/Production environment; Direct experience of Capex, Equipment and MRO is highly desirable
  • Experience in creating and implementing category strategies for multiple sites at a regional level and driving compliance with plant purchasing teams
  • Excellent Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) skills and experience in developing effective supplier monitoring and performance tools
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-national and multi-cultural team in a matrix-structured environment
  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline; specialised purchasing qualifications highly desirable

As the EMEA Commodity Manager for Non-Production you will play a key role in managing a highly technical spend area with high cost pressures. You will utilise your skills and expertise to negotiate optimal terms with suppliers to ensure best value and performance delivery. You will have a hands-on approach to managing supplier relationships and internal stakeholder relationship with global procurement colleagues and plant-based management teams.
