Market leading Engineering & Manufacturing company
Up to €85,000 + package
Location: INNSBRUCK, AUSTRIA (+ Relocation Support)

Note: This is a permanent position that will require full-time relocation to Austria.
This innovative pioneer and global market leader in the Engineering & Manufacturing industry, boasting a rich history and products in over 100 countries, is looking for a Global Commodity Purchasing Leader to manage a high performing team of commodity managers based at the manufacturing facility in Austria. You will be taking over a team responsible for €200M in annual materials spend and will be directly responsible for around €40M in critical spend with the business' key suppliers for heavy materials, stamped & forged metals The focus of this role will be to drive best practices in global commodity management and procuremetn to deliver optimal costs to production.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sourcing strategy and manage key supplier relationships for €40 Million in critical materials spend; cast metal, forged metal and other heavy materials
- Lead a team of commodity managers who will be reposnible for a total spend of €200M
- Managing the supplier selection process - develop and manage relationships and tendering processes
- Work closely with the Project Management and Commercial teams to create a purchasing strategy to drive an efficient and effective business process.
- Strategic market mapping to identify cost saving and growth opportunities
Candidate profile:
- Must have experience with Category Management and strategic sourcing
- Must have experience purchasing heavy engineering components
- Ideally experienced in purchasing in an Engineering/manufacturing industry
- Ideally have a background and degree in Engineering
