Site Operations Manager vacancy based in Middlesbrough salary negotiable

Objective
To achieve optimum efficiency, economy of operations, customer value & quality standard in Operations (primarily the Warehouse, QA and Shipping departments) by planning, developing and implementing operational management & development policies and procedures that meet agreed organizational performance plans, budgets and timescales.

Main Tasks
* Plan, direct and manage department activities and performance in accordance with agreed budgets, timescales, policies and standard to achieve agreed profit and delivery performance goals.
* Formulate and implement quality management strategy and programs including resource, systems, timescales, financials, to support, contribute to, and integrate within, the organization's annual business plan and long term strategy.
* Manage the Operations in a manner that protects the safety & health of employees and contractors, preserves and protects and the company assets, minimizes the impact on the environment and are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and company standards.
* Manage Operation in cost effective manner by maintaining optimum levels of productivity and efficiency under strict budget.
* Achieves and maintains the accreditation for the Quality Management System to ISO 9001:2015
* Direct appropriate stock count procedures to ensure all activities are timely completed and inventories are managed within specified accuracy.
* Plan, develop and implement effective staffing strategy and solutions to ensure Operations personnel has the right competency to perform their duties, well trained, able to multi task and grow with the company.
* Regularly review current work systems and makes the necessary changes to reduce operating cost and stock losses and changes.
* Develops and implement plans for facility modification or expansion to increase customer value, profit or efficiency
* Assesses, selects, manages and develops external service providers for warehousing, transportation, machining, treatment, etc.

Generic Job Requirements

* Bachelor Degree in Engineering or MBA
* Experience operation management, such as Shipping, Engineering ,QA and Warehousing
* Knowledge of the product specifications, procedures and systems.
* Knowledge of Steel Commodities, specifications and material certificates
* Knowledge of the Factories Act and Safety and Health requirement.

39 hours a week typically Monday to Thursday 08:00-17:00 and Fridays 08:00-16:00
We are ideally looking for someone with circa 10 years' experience within Operations
Looking for someone hands on and able to communicate to staff members up and down
