West Yorkshire, commutable from Leeds, Wakefield, Pontefract, Huddersfield and Barnsley
Are you experienced in Soft FM, Consumables and/or fleet procurement?
Can you procure inline with OJEU requirements and are you CIPS or MCIPS qualified?
Have you worked in a Housing Association, NHS Organisation, Council, University or ALMO previously?

This role is inside IR35 supporting an NHS organisation whilst they recruit this position on a permanent basis. A well-known and innovative NHS Organization in West Yorkshire is looking for a temporary Senior Buyer/Category Manager to join their team whilst they recruit the vacancy on a permanent basis. This role has no direct reports or direct supervisory responsibility but is a fantastic opportunity for public sector procurement professionals looking for experience in the NHS, Buyers looking to take the next step in their career or an opportunity to experience the organization before applying to work there on a permanent basis.
Category Manager roles within this organization are fundamentally the same,but they areresponsible for different categories varying in value,volume,nature,and complexity.This particular role is expected to:
·Applicants must evidence specialist knowledge in procurement,evidenced by being qualified in procurement(MCIPS)
·Have substantial practical experience in procurement/contracting/supply chain environment, ideally one of a public sector nature,including knowledge of OJEU requirements
·Have specialist knowledge in at least one area or category to include Fleet, Estates and/or Consumables
This position is a fantastic opportunity to lead a specific strategic sourcing programme for defined categories and provide effective management of the Trust procurement portfolios in line with Standing Financial Instructions, EU Procurement Directives and UK Legislation.
