This superb brand new Supply Chain Manager / Purchasing Managers opportunity has been created with this division of a specialist manufacturer due to expansion and company development.
You will be responsible for Procurement, Supply Chain and Production. The role involve managing a Production Manager, a team Engineers on the Shop Floor, 2 Buyers and a number of logistic and Supply Chain Personnel. 30-40% of your time Will be spent managing the team.
This Division manufactures a range of bespoke mechanical engineering & fluid handling solutions for a variety of applications in onshore and offshore markets that include the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, subsea, pipeline, chemical and power generation markets.
The Supply Chain Manager / Purchasing Manager will be a part of the senior management team (Engineering Manager and Business Development Manager) and report directly into the Managing Director.
You will have overall responsibility for Purchasing and Procurement, Production, Quality, Supply Agreements, Supply Chain, Systems and Procedures, (ERP System) New manufacturing Techniques and the overall day to day running of the various departments.
The role will work closely with the other department, particularly Engineering, R&D and Sales.
- Background in procurement, supply chain or management etc
- Experience in the oil & gas, petrochemical, marine, subsea, pipeline, chemical or power generation industry
- Mechanical Engineering or related qualifications ie HNC, HND, Degree etc
- Good working knowledge of ERP Systems and manufacturing Techniques
- Effective written, oral and presentation communication skills
- Ability to formulate and write proposals, prepare and delivery customer tenders.
- Ability to work successfully without close supervision
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with
- professionals of all organizational levels
- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability in problem solving and negotiation on all levels
