GENERALIST PROCUREMENT CATEGORY MANGER - PRESTIGIOUS GLOBAL FINANCE BRAND - £50-60K + BONUS - PERMANENT VARIOUS LOCATIONS
Due to extensive internal growth this blue-chip financial company seeks an ambitious Procurement Category Manager to manage and implement procurement strategy and increasing efficiency.
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT minded procurement expert to join a firm which consistently ranks in The Times' 50 Best Big Companies to Work For and provides an opportunity for a high impact role engaging with senior stakeholders.
This role could be based from either London or Bristol
Procurement Category Manager Role Overview:
- Working with executive internal stakeholders to ensure procurement best practise and coordinating the delivery of new initiatives
- Managing existing and new supplier relationships, including negotiating contacts across procurement categories and monitoring performance of suppliers
- Competently managing £ multi-million spend and contributing to hitting challenging KPI objectives
- Building and implementing outstanding category strategy and optimisation plans whilst directing more junior procurement team members
- Contributing to the companies aim to provide outstanding service to over 10 million customers in the UK
Procurement Category Manager Requirements:
- Strong Indirect Procurement experience gained working in a similar Category Manager or Senior Buyer role looking to step up
- Able to demonstrate applicable IT knowledge and a history of building and maintaining supplier relationships
- Team management experience at category management level is beneficial
- Strong academic record, educated to degree level, MCIPS preferred but not essential
- British or EU passport or holding a valid visa allowing you to live and work in the UK without any restriction
Salary: £50-60k basic + bonus + benefits
