IT Procurement Manager

An expanding Financial Services organisation in Sussex are going through an exciting Procurement Transformation and as a result of this, is looking to grow its Procurement function – starting with the recruitment of a new IT Procurement Manager.

This role will see you take category ownership for all IT Software contracts, as well as being involved in other Technology spend areas including Telephony. The IT Procurement Manager will be largely UK focused, and will report directly into an experienced Senior Procurement Manager who is very much open to industry background.

What the role involves

1. Managing a multi-million pound spend across IT Software and Technology Services .
2. Shaping and executing a range of sourcing strategies across IT and Technology and collaborating with key internal stakeholders in the business.
3. Interacting with the wider Procurement exec team to make critical commercial decisions as part of the short, medium- and long-term strategy of the business.
4. Feeling genuinely empowered to make business decisions.
5. Reporting to the Senior leadership team as you support the change management programme, raising the profile of Procurement.

The person we hope to find

1. IT category management experience is essential for this role.
2. Ideally managed multiple IT Software contracts.
3. Proven experience of managing IT stakeholders and being able to make key strategic decisions on the supplier base you are engaged with.
4. Degree educated or equivalent would be preferable but is not essential.
5. Be able to identify and implement negotiation strategies through a multi-function team.
