Procurement Specialist - Renewable and Sustainable Energy - £25,000 to £30,000 + bonus, package

Oxfordshire

My client seeks a high-calibre individual interested in the procurement side of the booming renewable and sustainable energy industry.

The role comes after a new wave of investment into large complex infrastructure projects and construction projects and industry-leading R&D to facilitate the generation of carbon-free emissions in the UK. This investment has allowed them to establish a new arm of the procurement team to focus on new large-scale projects such as nuclear decommissioning, wind-farm construction, solar panel farms and hydroelectricity.

This role is designed to develop you into a core member of the team. You will be involved in attending supplier/vendor meetings, managing relationships, analysing procurement data and ultimately have an input into the strategy and bespoke plans for said key projects.

Why apply?

You will gain a wider understanding of various indirect procurement categories of spend such as Professional Services, Facilities Management as well as Refurbishments/Construction.

  • Excellent internal progression culture
  • Experience procurement from within a brand-new team
  • Gain knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process. Establishing a procurement strategy, sourcing new suppliers (elements of inviting vendors to tender, negotiations and relationship management)
  • Experience procurement across numerous sites including R&D, Materials testing, Construction and Robotics.

Requirements:

  • Strong interest in the energy/renewable energy industry
  • First-hand experience of the end to end procurement process
  • Experience of indirect procurement such as Prof Services, IT, Facilities
  • Degree educated 2.1 and above from a UK university or equivalent from an international university.

My client offers a welcoming and inclusive culture and they truly invest in their talent by offering procurement training courses so you can achieve your full potential.
