Warehouse Shift Manager

Salary – Circa £34k

Our client, a large distribution centre based near Bradford are looking for a highly experienced Shift Manager to join their growing team.

Reporting to the Site Operations Manager, you will lead your team to successfully deliver your lines KPI's and drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and communicate the site plan, performance KPI's and targets ensuring that all colleagues are striving to achieve the same goal
Responsible for the pick, pack and dispatch operation on your shift and to drive KPI improvement within those areas.
Control and report on efficiency, waste, downtime, and labour utilisation
Ensure your management team have regular reviews and PDP's to ensure any training identified is specific and meets the current and future needs of the operation
Train, coach and develop staff
Looking after a large team (150+ staff in peak)
Continuously identify ways to reduce costs & improve standards & efficiency in all areas
Engage in the recruitment process
Attend daily review meetings to ensure fully on target to deliver
Working closely with internal and external suppliers you will build strong effective relationships ensuring that the site is legally compliant, all products are delivered to specification to ensure value
Requirements for this role:

Management experience gained in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships across all levels
Strong knowledge of KPI’s
Decisive and effective decision-making, problem resolution skills
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Leading and coaching skills in order to engage motivate and develop large teams
Salary £34,000 per annum

Alternating shifts 6am-2pm/1pm-9pm (flexibility required)
