Our client, who is based within the public sector, has an urgent requirement for a Procurement Assistant. This is a temporary requirement and is based in Glasgow City Centre. The pay rate will be £10.20 per hour, and hours of work will be

Key tasks:
responding to emails
Answering telephone calls from internal and external customers
Electronic filing
Working on and responding to requests within a shared mailbox
Ability to use Microsoft packages (Excel mainly)
Educated to HNC Level or equivalent with administrative experience
Experience in processing purchase orders
Experience in viewing invoices and able to compare invoice against purchase order to resolve payment issues
Experience in using the purchasing system PECOS is desirable but not essential as full training on the 'Procurement' systems will be provided

Use of computerised systems
Required to be a good communicator, with a focus on customer service
IT skills, with good knowledge of Word & Excel
Ability to prioritise and show attention to detail
Ability to work on own initiative
Willing to adapt and learn new skills
