Edwards & Pearce are working with a leading global manufacturer on a new role within their large supply chain network. We are looking to recruit an Import Freight Coordinator to oversee the responsibility for freight and logistics within their UK distribution network.
THE ROLE:
As Freight Coordinator your duties will include but not be limited to:
*To work with freight forwarding agencies for specific supply routes
*Set and control the cost budget and manage all contracts with freight forwarders
*Implement new auditing toll and audit freight forwarders accordingly
*Liaise with internal logistics and supply chain departments to ensure alignment
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful Freight Coordinator should have the following attributes:
*Experience of working with global freight routes
*3PL management experience
*SAP and MS Excel experience strongly preferred
*The ability to negotiate and manage 3PL and freight forwarders
*A clear communicator across all levels
