Contracts Manager (3 month fixed term contract)

Location: Camberley

Salary £40-45,000 + free parking (pro rota)

My client who are based in Camberley are looking for a Contracts Manager to join their team. You will be responsible for and accountable for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts with our strategic partners and providers and customers under the guidance and direction of senior members of the Group General Counsel and Managing Directors. The successful candidate will have frequent interactions with internal stakeholders across multiple business units and functional groups. They will play a key role in the execution of strategic commercial projects representing the legal function.

Daily Duties

Be responsible for ensuring that all contracting processes are followed, including obtaining and documenting any approvals required in connection with each contract.

Provide legal support to the Companys operations and senior management teams.

Effective execution of major projects, identifying risk, escalating as appropriate, recommending mitigation and implementing solutions, with primary responsibility for legal advice relating to key commercial terms presented in commercial agreements.

Counselling, reviewing, drafting and negotiating commercial agreements such as product and vendor agreements, licensing (including procurement) agreements, service agreements, business sale and acquisitions, basic financing transactions, information technology related agreements.

Identifying and analysing legal issues and developing and effectively communicating sound, understandable legal and business recommendations to the appropriate business managers.

Participating in a collaborative manner in cross-functional business teams to identify, evaluate, and resolve complex business issues. ·

Ensuring compliance with applicable legal requirements and company policies.

Qualfications

Qualified to degree level in Law and as a Solicitor in the United Kingdom

Experience with Master Service Agreements is desirable within the Insurance industry

Superb legal drafting skills, with affinity for using language to achieve compromise

Ability to analyse complex business and legal issues/risks in order to advance practical solutions
