9 month Fixed-Term-Contract for a Global Professional Service Firm based in Central London

This is a Procurement Professional Services Organisation, offering bespoke services for clients globally. 2018 was a busy year for this organisation winning lots of new clients globally. They serve many financial services clients amongst other more exciting and varied industries spanning Europe, America, and APAC. You will join a wider sourcing team consisting of professionals covering, outsourcing & offshoring, HR, Professional Services, Travel, Market Data, Real Estate, FM, and Marketing.

Your new role
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth procurement process from initiation to contract award ensuring that all due diligence is completed. This role is of tactical nature, however the exposure you will get in the Financial Services sector will be invaluable in your career. You will liaise with the stakeholders at all levels to ensure you are managing their request effectively and they are kept informed to ensure there are no delays in the process.

Your day-to-day will involve processing requests, checking/seeking budget approval, reviewing contracts, liaising with legal and ensuring there are no issues in the process you are managing. Due to the nature of the business, you will be expected to manage a number of these processes simultaneously.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience/knowledge of procurement and that you have the ability to follow process/procedure and work in a fast-paced environment. You will review contracts to ensure they don't have anything high-risk related, so a keen eye for detail is required.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you are passionate about procurement, you want to learn and develop your career in this space. Organisational skills are important as you will need to manage a number of workloads at the same time so the ability to meet deadlines is key.
