Procurement Officer - 8 Month FTC - Immediate Start - Runcorn
We have an excellent opportunity to join the rocurement team as a Procurement Officer, responsible for managing suppliers to drive savings and improved service delivery across a variety of indirect categories of spend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement requirements as required by the business, for predominantly indirect spend, though there may be a need to support the procurement of engineering spares stock
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders to understand their requirements and how procurement can support
- Develop and manage PSL's in area of responsibility
- Identify opportunities for improvement in area of responsibility, working with key stakeholders and procurement team colleagues
- Provide support to the line manager as required
Key Skills:
- Able to demonstrate experience in a similar role
- Experienced in a range of supplier selection procedures, ranging from simple to complex requirements
- Experienced in contracting approaches, including Terms and Conditions with suppliers
- Strong negotiating and influencing skills
- Able to develop relationships with stakeholders from across the business
- Experience using microsoft packages, with in depth experience of data analysis techniques using Excel
- Experience of using indirect purchasing systems
