Materials Procurement Buyer

Located in Liskeard, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a permanent Materials Procurement Buyer in the construction industry.  This is an office based role, working directly with the Contracts Manager and Director of the family run business.  The ideal candidate should have construction industry office experience and be keen to learn and grow within this South Eastern Cornwall based company.   The applicant must be able to:  Must have previous experience working in construction industry, preferrably in an administration and/or buyers role Coordinate deliveries with the Site Managers in accordance with the current programme  Ability to interperate construction drawings, with knowledge of material buying within the construction industry Excellent organisational skills with a good level of IT Literacy - including Microsoft Excel Ability to manage and adapt in a fast paced, multi-site business Enthusiastic and confident on the phone, when speaking and negotiating with suppliers Build and maintain relationships with potential and existing suppliers 20 days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays Salary CIRCA £28,000 dependent on experience
