Do you come from a logistics / supply chain / import & export background, looking to progress to the next step? If so our client, an electrical distributer, is looking to recruit a Supply Chain Assistant. This position would ideally suit a Graduate with at least 1 years’ experience, looking to progress and develop into an analyst role.

The main purpose of this role will be to support the Head of Supply Chain in ensuring the timely delivery of internal sales orders, as well as the management of stock, and you will be working alongside the Operations Director. Working as part of a team, you will assist with the smooth running of the Operations Department, keeping systems updated with the correct information required for the business, including liaising with other departments.

This role has the potential to grow within the company, with progression to a Supply Chain Analyst over time.

Duties Include:

* Creation of purchase orders in support of sales orders

* Booking in delivered purchase orders on the company Management System

* Providing comments and feedback and adding dates to ensure all interested parties are aware of sales order progress

* Exporting and manipulating reports for onward communications

* Creating and sending commercial / pro-forma documents and serial number files

* Booking warehouse delivery slots

* Tracking shipments

* Supporting inbound / outbound returns and repairs

* Updating all stock line movements

* Allocating orders, requesting dispatches and tracking to delivery

* Re-stocking fulfilment to agreed minimum / maximum levels

* Monitoring stock reports

* Supply Chain Reports : reviewing, creating and escalating various reports, such as stock reports, shortage reports, review E&O, order reports, exposure reports

* Key interactions with suppliers, Operations Team, Finance Team, customers, Client Delivery Team

Special Requirements / Additional Information:

* Degree qualified in a related supply chain, business management or similar discipline

* At least 1 years’ relevant work experience

* Ability to work under pressure and with initiative

* Good attention to detail and accuracy

* Organised, with the ability to prioritise workload

* A “can do” attitude

* Excellent communication skills

* Excellent Excel skills

* A keenness to develop the role
