The contracts manager in our organization is the person who oversees the operations side of our business from the point where a tender is agreed through to project completion and aftercare. In that respect they form one of the pillars of the company and so it is essential that the selected candidate is both technically capable and a good cultural fit.
Role Responsibilities:
* Recruiting and overseeing performance of site managers on all ongoing projects.
* Programming projects and overall responsibility for contract delivery.
* Responsible for the management and performance of all in house trades and supply chain.
* Reporting of project performance to directors.
* Responsibility for health and safety on site.
* Responsible for quality of work on site.
* Overseeing planning of in house labour movements.
* Budgeting resources and implementing forward planning.
* Overseeing the finishing and aftercare team.
* Taking weekly and monthly site meetings with clients where required.
* Overseeing commercial team to ensure projects are profitable.
Essential Skills & Requirements:
* Exceptional knowledge of construction methods and materials.
* Ability to produce working project programmes.
* Ability to chair site meetings, with clients, site & finance teams.
* Very good man management skills.
* Good IT skills including ability to work with Microsoft office suite and either smart sheets or MS Project.
* Knowledge of and experience working with the JCT form of contract.
* SMSTS qualified.
* Full clean driving license
