Trainee Buyer
A well respected main contractor in the Hertfordshire area has a great opportunity for a Trainee Buyer to join their experienced team as a Trainee Construction Buyer
They predominantly undertake student accommodation schemes but have also carved a name for themselves across the healthcare, residential, mixed use, commercial and sports and leisure sectors
Staff turnover is extremely low meaning you will be joining a dedicated and skilled team
Due to a period of growth they are looking for a bright candidate who they can develop and progress within the company
They will support you through further education and will offer you the right training and sector exposure to become a skilled Materials Buyer.
The role - Trainee Buyer - Construction
You will be materials buying, undertaking reactive buying on smaller orders and assisting the 2 Senior Buyers on larger orders. (You will receive full support and training)
The role will include:
Taking off
Placing orders
Speaking to Site Agents
Problem solving
Speaking to and meeting suppliers
Visiting site to discuss procurement programs with the Site Agent
Working hours 9.00am - 5.30pm
The right person - Trainee Construction Buyer
You will either be undertaking or will have completed a construction qualification
Or you will be qualified to A Level standard
You will be confident, assertive and enthusiastic
