Estimators Contracts Managers

Near Preston

Hours 8 am to 5pm Monday to Friday

Salary c£25,000 - £35,000 Negotiable

Estimator QS and Contracts Manager, construction or building industry experience to join a well-established manufacturing firm due to continuous growth within the estimating and contracts department. You will have experience estimating and or managing contracts from order to receipt of delivery. If you have estimating and or contract management experience this company has an excellent reputation with the building and construction industry dealing directly with Architects and Main Contractors. A manufacturing company specialising in supplying high quality bespoke products within the UK, established for over 25 years supplying to several market sectors including; education, healthcare, mental health, ecclesiastical, MOD commercial and residential. Estimating QS

Pricing works projects - Preparing accurate quotations

Work from various architectural documents such as schedules, bill of quantities, elevation drawings etc

The position involves working with architect's schedules & drawings liaising with customers to prepare production paperwork for our factory using Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Building Industry/Wood products an advantage

Required skills include and excellent knowledge of Excel, Analysing Information, Estimating, Planning, Attention to Detail, numeracy and communication.

Working alongside the sales team to ensure most competitive quotations and maximising sales opportunities.

Close attention to detail and a methodical attitude is required to ensure accuracy.

Estimating experience and/or experience in construction / manufacturing / timber beneficial.

Contracts Managers - Contracts Schedulers

You will need to manage contracts from order handover to final delivery

Liaising with customers ensuring requirements are fully understood and interpreted correctly.

Scheduling production to specification and delivery

Project management

Produce an agreed schedule of the customer requirements through

Ensure requirements are fully understood, lead times agreed delivery requirements, technical issues.

Interpretation of architect’s drawings and contractor schedules

Plan the delivery details ensuring raw materials are booked into the production plan

Manage order with regular updates with planning and purchasing

Produce financial information for cash flow as necessary

You will need very good Excel skill and be able to interpret architect’s drawings and schedules.
