We are looking for a confident, self managing decision maker to head up our Rail business unit at Z-Tech. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a great team who are successfully delivering to our clients across the RAIL industry.
Reporting to the Operations Director, you will have full autonomy for the delivery of the Business Unit operational strategy and shaping the future direction of your business.
Your team of direct reports are responsible for managing the day-to-day operations - you will help to solve their problems, remove obstacles, coach and develop them. It is important that you value people and have the ability to recognise and develop their strengths. You will lead business development for the Business Unit by being able to form close relationships at a senior level with our key customers and take a lead in any major Business Unit bids or tenders. We'll also want you to be able to unearth new opportunities for both your area of expertise and the wider business.
Working closely with the the finance team, you will have full control of all aspects of finance and be responsible for setting and delivering to an annual budget. Financial reporting and forecasting is completed monthly/ quarterly and you will make regular presentations to the Board which also includes progress against strategic objectives.
Ideally we are looking for people who can demonstrate experience in a similar role or, with the appropriate talents and drive who are ready for the next step in their career.
Whilst knowledge of the RAIL industry is desirable, demonstrating operational management experience in a fast paced and changing environment is equally valued.
