Are you a Buyer on the look out for a new opportunity? Do you like the thought of working for a forward thinking, innovative company that can offer a varied role with great exposure to all aspects of buying?
We are currently recruiting for a Buyer to work in the purchasing department.Established over 100 years ago, this manufacturer is a world leader and can boast an excellent client order book.
This role encompasses the purchasing of direct, indirect and consumable material for the plant. Your job will be to deliver a supply base capable of supporting the efficient and effective operation of the business.
You will:
- Be a strong negotiator / influencer
- Be confident in managing day to day supplier relationships
- Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager and the purchasing function in general
- Problem solve and be able to use strong analytical skills on a day to day basis
- Be involved with the managing of new project requirements
- Work to reduce costs and increase efficiency within the supply chain
