German Speaking Buyer

Do you speak fluent German and English?
Do you have experience within a buying role?
If the answer is yes to both, we have the perfect role for you! We are seeking a German-speaking Buyer to join our prestigious client to have daily interaction with suppliers, clients, managers and other team members as requested, developing and purchasing merchandise from the Far East and Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

· Find the most appropriate suppliers for specific requirements by sourcing directly and indirectly to find the best options

· Negotiate with suppliers to get the best prices, terms and deals

· Ensure full compliance with the companies policies when negotiating and sourcing

· Constantly seek and contact new suppliers on a regular basis

· Actively manage finance in line with specific profit margins and budgets

· Manage client enquiries and requests and ensure the correct member of staff is involved as required

· Understand the needs and wants of the customer in order to understand their requirements

· Assist with the Quality Control and Logistics team to ensure on-time delivery

· Raise and issue purchase orders and input them onto the SAP order system

· Ensure a full documentation trail is kept in line with company procedures

· Ensure the products are tested and inspected when required

· Manage projects to ensure on-time delivery

Requirements/ Qualifications:

· Must be able to speak German and English (written and verbal)

· Experience in a similar buying environment

· Strong negotiating skills

· Good communication skills both written and verbal

· Knowledge of European and Far East shipping and delivery

· Good knowledge and skills of using Windows and OS operating systems and Microsoft Office

· Strong planning, time management and organisational skills

· SAP experience would be extremely beneficial, yet not essential
