Demand Planner required to join our client, an innovative company based in Salisbury. The suitable candidate will be responsible for forecasting supply and demand, maintaining stock levels in line with budgets ensuring adequate stock is available always. Also responsible for the analysis of sales and volume trends, assessing against and improving the forecast accuracy.

Duties:

Develop monthly and annual demand forecasts.
Work closely with the buying team to enable stock to be purchased from alternative sources at the best prices, taking advantage of any promotions.
Regular space planning for stock in the warehouse.
Liaise with the Transport Manager regarding any collections.
Continuously monitor stock levels, reacting when required to ensure stock is within agreed levels.
Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method and approach.
Track shipments, being aware of any issues which may cause shortages.
Highlight any concerns with overstocking, date issues or products.
Analyse any fluctuations in sales, understanding the reason to support accurate forecasting for stock requirements.
Drive the identification and resolution of aged stock.
Analysis of all external data relevant to the forecasting process to include market trends and seasonality.
Preparing and submitting PO to replenish stock as required.
Check order confirmations received from suppliers.
Download sales information from the system at the end of each month and update system reorder levels.Skills and Requirements:

Experience within a forecasting role, developing S&OP procedures.
Experience of analysing complex data and submitting proposal to drive change.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail within a fast-paced role.
Ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
Strong understanding of supply chain procedures.
Good Microsoft skills including Excel at an advanced level.
