This newly rebranded world leading supplier in manufacturing technology now operates over 25 manufacturing facilities and over 100 commercial and sales centers globally. The organization is seeking to further develop its global purchasing team to meet evolving demands and has created a new vacancy for a Global Direct Purchasing Manager for Components and Plastics. The components will be comprised of complex high volume/low value parts and the plastics spend is represented by mostly polymers and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). You will need to apply technical expertise when working with a volume of SKUs as well as stakeholder management skills when closely interacting with the Engineering department and site-based teams.

Role

As the Global Sourcing Manager Polymers, TPUs and Components, you will:

  • Develop and reintegrate €15m of materials expenditure across 50 entities within the components and plastics (polymers and TPU) categories, which must align with current and future strategies.
  • Increase spend visibility to over 70%, which will require excellent stakeholder management skills when driving new initiatives.
  • With the support of the Global Purchasing Engineer, liaise with R&D and Product Engineering to contextualize and challenge requirements arising from the polymers, TPUs and components sourcing process.
  • Collaborate with Senior Stakeholders, such as the Global Head of Purchasing and the CPO, to develop and implement cost reduction initiatives and more applicable contractual requirements.
  • Maintain and build on supplier relationships through fact-based negotiation processes, such as RFP/RFQ optimizing, and supplier base screening.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required for the Global Sourcing Manager Polymers, TPUs and Components:

  • Relevant experience in Direct Procurement across a range of varied categories, specifically polymers and TPUs as well as a high volume and low value of components.
  • A competent command of stakeholder management in order to encourage mandated procurement and spend access across the company.
  • Extensive understanding of the end to end procurement process across all stages of the procurement life cycle of polymers, TPUs and components.
  • Excellent SRM skills when establishing a PSL and ensuring compliance throughout this growing network.
  • A Master's degree in a relevant discipline (Economics, Supply Chain, Procurement).
  • High level of flexibility involving travel across businesses in different continents.

This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Leading Global Supplier in Machinery and Engineering Technology during an exciting, fast-paced chapter of the company's development. You will be based in the Turin, Italy office and can enjoy a range of benefits including international travel. To apply please send a copy of your resume to Eddy at JobsEH@bramwithconsulting.com
