ROLE- Operations Manager
LOCATION- Aberdeen
TERM- Permanent
SALARY- Circa £50,000 - £75,000 per annum but dependent on experience (Please advise what you’re looking for)
My client works within the Oil & Gas sector, and they are looking to take on an Engineering Operations Manager, on a permanent basis, in the Aberdeen area.
The Engineering Operations Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- HNC / HND / Degree qualified or similar in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 or more years of experience in a similar role within the Oil & Gas / Offshore industry with some experience of offshore work would be ideal
- Must have experience working as part of a smaller company / team and being hands on
- A mechanical/ hydraulic systems background within oil & gas would be preferred
- Existing Management skills and experience
- Have previously been involved with planning for offshore mobilization
- Strong project management capabilities
- Have previous experience of running day to day operations
- Previous exposure to CAD software i.e Inventor or AutoCAD would be ideal
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Confident character
The Engineering Operations Manager role will involve:
- Working within a small company in a varied hands-on Management role
- Managing projects and operations and a team too
- Interfacing with clients directly
- Managing other staff members
- Preparing equipment to go offshore
- Being involved in projects working with hydraulic systems and tooling
