We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager within the Work-Based Learning sector

Our client is a successful, national training provider with a growing reputation as one of the best in their field. With the introduction of the apprenticeship levy, the company has experienced increased demand for its high-quality Business Skills Programmes, particularly within Leadership & Management. Businesses are now recognising the importance of developing their leadership teams, as well as using their levy pot!

Key Aspects of the role
  • Line management of Apprenticeship Delivery Managers and Product Specialist and Account Managers within the Business Skills division and indirect line management of Trainers, to include management of CPD, appraisals and performance reviews, performance management. To administer HR matters such as the escalation of disciplinary procedures and ensuring that staff follow policy and procedure 
  • Providing an overall strategic vision of the Business Skills Division and being responsible for the implementation of this. 
  • To communicate, manage and drive all Operational Business KPIs including financial targets.
  • Drive Apprenticeship starts through effective Account Management, repeat business, new business, liaising and maintaining effective relations with the Sales Team 
  • Accountable to the board of directors to keep them up to date with operational business performance

Applicant Requirements

  • We are keen to hear from applicants with full operational management experience 
  • You must have a successful track record within the Apprenticeships / Work-based Learning sector
  • National Travel will be a significant part of the role and so you'd need to be comfortable with that
