Procurement & Finance Officer
Fixed Term Contract Until 13/12/19 (with possibility to extend)
£21,297 - £22,485 Per Annum
A challenging and exciting opportunity working with a London based College for a committed and enthusiastic Procurement/Finance officer. You will be joining the Finance Department in supporting the finance function of the college including the processing of purchase orders, petty cash, credit card payments, accounts receivable and banking.
Key Duties
- Carrying out credit checks on new credit customers
- Raise/process purchase requisition and dispatch purchase orders
- Ensuring creditor statements are reconciled
- Processing supplier and expense payments using bacs, chaps or cheques
- Processing supplier queries and resolving disputes
- Collecting monies, issuing receipts, recording monies collected following finance policies and procedures during enrolment and other occasions.
- Raising sales invoices
- Reconciling creditors and debtors
Accounts payable knowledge is essential as will be working closely with Accounts Payable officer to bring Accounts Payable up to date. Procurement Knowledge is also necessary for the role as you will be required to look at the procurement processes and assist in streamlining them and assisting in bringing the 'Contracts platform' up to date.
