Are you a logistics co-ordinator looking for the next great opportunity?

I am currently recruiting on behalf of a hugely successful logistics business who are looking to add an enthusiastic, motivated logistics co-ordinator, transport planner or transport supervisor to their team.

This business is brilliant at retaining and developing staff, largely due to the exceptional training programs, industry leading remuneration packages and fantastic progression opportunities within the business - the right transport planner or traffic planner will be able to progress within the business in the long and short term.

This role would be suitable for a planner who has European planning or freight forwarding experience - the business primarily operate in European markets so this knowledge is essential. ideally, you would possess knowledge of other European languages - however this is not essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES - LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR

* Managing customer enquiries/orders via phone and email.

* Booking/Tracking shipments.

* Planning transport routes to ensure cost effective logistics for the client and business.

* Operational administration as required.

* Ad-Hoc transport office duties.

DESIRED SKILLS - LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR

* Excellent communication skills.

* An understanding of compliance within the transport industry.

* An understanding of European logistics.

* Ability to build positive working relations with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

* Must be IT literate (Including working knowledge of Microsoft Excel).

* The ability to working under pressure within a busy transport office.

* Experience in an operational role in a logistics or haulage business.
