My client is a leading renewable energy organisation that are continuing to grow and develop in this important time in their life-cycle, who are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and to take overall responsibility for procurement across the business and be the point of contact for all new and existing supply chain demands.

Description

The Role

  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers and relevant internal departments and customers
  • Build and maintain good relationships with new and existing suppliers
  • Negotiate and agree contracts, monitoring the quality of service provided
  • Develop strategies to make sure that cost savings and supplier performance targets are met - or exceeded
  • Undertake value for money reviews of existing contracts and arrangements
  • Develop and implement the purchasing strategy
  • Produce reports and statistics on spending and saving
  • Administer and oversea invoice approval process

Profile

The Person

  • Educated to a degree level is desirable
  • MCIPS membership
  • 3 years' experience, preferably commodity / haulage purchasing experience
  • Strong analytical ability to adapt to different client needs and to develop and maintain successful working relationships
  • A flair for negotiation and networking
  • Time management skills and the ability to deliver to deadlines
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Experience of working within the bulk haulage industry would be a bonus

Job Offer

My client is looking to offer a base salary of up to £50k plus package for the ideal candidate.
