My client is a Tier 1 automotive manufacturer of interior parts for global OEM's. They currently seek an Logistics Manager to join them on a permanent basis based at their Droitwich manufacturing site.
Scope:
* Business Unit Manager - Materials: organise the ordering and distribution of goods, leading the communication to Customer.
* In this role you will ensure that the right products are delivered to the facility, on time and at a good cost.
* You will also be involved in transportation, scheduling, stock integrity and part evolution through internal sub-assembly management.
Work experience (min/desirable):
* Must have good verbal and written communication skills to direct employees and prepare reports for upper management.
* Must have the ability to act decisively to resolve problems.
* Must have the skills to perform any of the duties in the warehousing and distribution department of a business.
* Must have strong interpersonal skills to motivate and instruct employees in the company
* 5-10 years automotive manufacturing experience, preferably in a JIT/sequencing environment
Technical and Professional Knowledge:
* Logistics/Supply Chain Management - Computers/ Information Technology -Inventory Management.
* Customer Performance (Metrix)
* Transportation management
* Supply chain
* Risk management
* Sustainability
* Supporting departmental processes and procedures in line with IATF TS16949, ISO14001, QOS and other Company targets and initiatives
* Strategy development and application -Supply chain management -Execution, planning, scheduling control - Lean management- Customer relationship management
* Logistics experience. (SAP)
