£50k - £60k + Bonus

Our client is a growing London hospital with a core non-pay annual spend which will top £200m by 2020 and plan to invest and increase their Clinical Procurement specialisation by building a team of Senior Catgory Managers with a background in setting category strategies and leading teams to successful delivery of associated projects.

The role will involve building a pipeline of suppliers and vendors across the UK and Europe from which to establish a strong, long-lasting working relationship so that the key and relevant internal stakeholders (surgeons, clinicians) will have the necessary equipment and tools to deliver world-class medical services.

Whilst experience within this category is not a must, the successful candidate must show exceptional leadership qualities and stakeholder management skills. The role holder will have 3 direct reports comprised of a category manager and two senior buyers which you will guide and mentor according to their professional development plan.

Our client desires a procurement professional with..

• Leadership skills - someone that has led large or small teams to successful completion of end-to-end strategic procurement projects
• Track record of delivering projects on time and impressive savings
• A strong practical knowledge of public sector procurement including NHS or Local Authority, especially within the OJEU framework
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills
• Knowledge of tendering platforms such as Oracle, SAP and Ariba
