Category Manager for Social Care for up to 12 months.

Your new role
As a Category Manager for Social Care you will manage a team of 4 procurement professionals and work closely with the team to take them forward in their development. You will lead this team on their strategic sourcing activities for the social care category spend with the aim to improve quality and service levels.
You will have overall responsibility for the commercial management of all social care goods and services and implement best procurement practice. You will also work closely with stakeholders on the development of procurement/commissioning strategies and implementation plans as well as effectively manage a portfolio of high value / high risk social care contracts.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this position you must have excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You will have an understanding of the procurement/commissioning procurement process. Experience in public sector procurement and social care would be beneficial for this role.
