Store’s Inventory Controller

Location: Liverpool

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Hours: Shift pattern – Monday to Friday 7am – 6pm, 1 Saturday in 4 working 7am – 12pm

Job type: Permanent

Holidays | 21 days + 8 bank holidays

As a Store’s Inventory Controller, you have a great opportunity to become a crucial team member at the heart of our clients logistics department. You will be responsible for ensuring the correct equipment is prepared for the engineers whilst maintaining budgetary limits.

A key element to this position will be working as a team whilst ensuring all materials are all prepared for efficient use whilst working in a proactive environment.

Candidates suitable for this position will have experience working within the logistics environment whilst handling budget and stock levels.

Responsibilities of the Store’s Inventory Controller:

  • Developing the company’s inventory management strategy with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalising inventory and maximizing available working capital
  • Managing and maintain the company’s material and stocked product inventory including stock profiles and stock locations
  • Managing and control perpetual inventory stock counting / inventory accuracy checks
  • Minimising overstocks and removal of obsolete / redundant raw materials to maximize availability of working capital
  • Ensuring that goods inward / stock control department is well organised and controlled to sufficiently support production and the goals of the business.
  • Ensuring incoming product is receipted and managed appropriately according to company procedure.
  • Ensuring materials are ready and available for production as and when required.
  • Responsibility for managing and running planned stock takes.
  • Performing cyclic stock checks
  • Ensuring works orders are correct and fully completed and that all stock has been allocated to the job correctly.
  • Ensuring integrity and accuracy of the stock management system
  • Producing daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the stock system are controlled and any discrepancies addressed and resolved.
