Our client, a leading blue-chip organisation, are recruiting for a Procurement Sourcing Manager to join their existing procurement function based in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The Procurement Sourcing Manager position will have full accountability of the end to end procurement cycle. It is responsible for providing strategic and tactical operational procurement support to the whole business.
Having a large scope, this position has the potential to be of high impact and the importance of stakeholder engagement is also integral to the position. The role holder will be required to liaise internally with key stakeholders, including the Senior Management Team, Finance, HR, Recruitment, Marketing and other cross-divisional stakeholders and work closely with external suppliers.
Essential Job Functions:
*To provide procurement direction to business stakeholders, implementing strategic procurement initiatives to enable the development of a supplier portfolio optimised for the needs of the business and 5 year business plan in the 5 year horizon.
*To support the development, implementation, refinement and communication of the procurement tools to underpin procurement 'best practice' and align with strategic business plans.
*Identify Procurement cost reduction opportunities and deliver against Cost Saving Targets across the portfolio; planning cost reduction, cost avoidance and value added projects.
*To provide technical and commercial procurement expertise to all business projects and business areas across a wide range of categories, contract processing and potential suppliers to guide effective sourcing decisions.
*Coach and educate personnel in the strategic sourcing model and Supplier Selection process to enable the development of a robust supplier portfolio.
*Perform all activities in compliance with relevant standards.
Requirements:
*Significant strategic procurement experience.
*Extremely well developed influencing and communication skills, both written and oral.
*Experience operating effectively within a matrix organisation.
*Strong team leadership and teamwork skills for cross-functional activity.
*Adept at developing and implementing sourcing strategies that will deliver.
*Excellent analytical skills.
*Good personal organisation.
*Strongly numerate and computer literate (particularly Excel).
*Strong commercial and contractual procurement skills.
* A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
* MCIPS qualified (working towards full qualification)
* Demonstrate ongoing commitment to achieve personal and team goals
Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 + pension, holiday, flexible benefits.
