A opportunity has arisen for someone to join a well known packaged gasses company.This position is to provide day to support to the various tools used in the Procurement area (SAP, Scout, Sharepoint). The focus of this role will be the implementation of our new tool for evaluating and approving new suppliers.
Duties to include:
Supplier Evaluation Tool project
The incumbent will develop a good understanding of the process for evaluating new suppliers. Their role on the project will involve:
*
* Assisting with documenting process flow and specification on what the new tool should deliver
* Set up questionnaires and question sets in the new tool, using automated functionality in the tool if required.
* Set up scenario and rules (for example what commodities require which type of approval)
* Set up end users, and other data
* Write test scenario and perform testing of the new tool.
* Develop or adapt training material
* Assist with change management activities about the project such as communication.
* Train end users of the tool and act as power user
Other responsibilities involve:
* Maintenance of the content of the procurement internet tool
* Assisting with the support of SAP within procurement – this could include setting up data.
* Assisting with the support of first level queries coming to procurement and developing a process to best deal with them.
* Knowledge management – reviewing training material and how it is organised.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
* This role would suit a new graduate of someone with some experience of office work
* Aptitude for understanding new software tools and an interest in experimenting with new applications
* Aptitude for troubleshooting IT issues – the role would involve testing, recording patterns in application behaviour, asking questions to establish a diagnostic.
* Self confidence: you will need to understand how end users perform activities, what process they follow etc.so you must have the confidence to ask questions. Occasionally, you will also have to influence others to follow a course of action they are not very keen on.
* Good communication and influencing skills – you will be expected to train others, sometimes non native English speakers, you should be able impart technical (IT) information to a non technical audience and to adapt between detailed and summary level information.
* Ability to work independently and to drive activities to completion on schedule
