Responsible for developing demand forecasts, managing inventory health, driving continuous improvement of forecasts, and facilitating inventory consensus on across sales, operations, and procurement through the SIOP process for a particular buying Commodity Group. This position involves a high level of interaction with a variety of business functions.

About the role

Creates and develops 24 month rolling forecast using historical sales, market trends, and judgmental input.
Manages inventory levels, identifies exceptions, and develops resolutions to large variances to these levels in order to escalate or take corrective action.
Monitors inventory health for the assigned Customer group to ensure optimal customer service and high on time delivery percentage.
Prepare data and material for weekly planning meeting with buyers and Sales.
Accountable for the following metrics for the assigned Customer group: inventory health, on time delivery, purchasing past due, and forecast accuracy.
Assist the Supply Planners to balance supply and demand for commodity buyer assigned parts
Complexity of Assignments:
Assigned a Customer Group/Sales Team to manage and ensure correct Demand Forecast in planning system
Responsible for running the SIOP process for Customer Group
Performs other duties as requested, directed or assigned
Travel to other Sales offices or Customers within Europe (10% of time)

About you:

Knowledge of key demand planning and inventory performance metrics, turns, margin contributions
Excellent computer skills and extensive data analysis skills especially in Excel and Access
Understands all elements of the supply chain process, and understands the information flow throughout demand and supply planning process
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience in forecasting, supply planning, or similar Supply Chain role preferred
Understands the mechanics of or has used packaged supply chain planning software
Experience with aggregating and summarizing large amounts of historical data and identifying trends or problems
Experience with basic ERP system functionality
SQL skills preferred
Significant relevant knowledge of service parts uniqueness

GBP13.50 - 14.50 /hr as a starting rate

Duration: 60-90 days with the potential to convert to a permanent postiion
