Logistics and Yard Operative

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part time Logistics and Yard Operative within our client's established and progressive company in Egham. The role is to be responsible for the incoming stock and ensuring that items are booked in and stored. They are a market leader of manufacturing, installation and maintenance of playground equipment. they are seeking an individual to join their team that will continue to operate to exceedingly high standards from a health and safety and reliability perspective. Key skills required: • Goods inward and outward management • Stock control • Operation of the forklift truck The role: • Managing the cleanliness, appearance of the facility to ensure stock and parts can be easily accessed • Preparation and collating of parts to ensure engineers can carry out scheduled tasks • Ensuring Health & Safety is priority • Assisting or carrying out minor on-site repairs • Responsible for the day to day management of the Egham yard • Receiving and booking in of goods inward • Loading, unloading, moving of goods with a forklift • Coordination of stock for despatch either by carrier or to be taken by their Playground Maintenance Engineers • Managing stock levels of components, fixings etc required for the day to day running of their Playground Maintenance Engineers • Managing health, safety, quality and environmental issues • Occasional onsite assistance for their Playground Maintenance Engineers • The candidate will be expected to take on additional duties when the need arises As well as working with an engaged and passionate team, they offer a competitive basic salary, 23 days holiday pro-rata per annum and rising to 25 in the second and subsequent years.
