Manager, Commodities and Structured Trade Finance Operations – based in the City

Key responsibilities will include:

·Day to day management and leadership of the Commodities and Structured Trade teams

·Provide exceptional service to clients on their structured trade finance and supply chain finance needs

·Assist in Facility implementation of traditional, structured trade finance and SCF products

·Supporting sales channels and trade sales specialists

·Be the main point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders

·Comply with Bank policies, controls and frameworks, reporting any issues affecting the team to management and complying with all escalation protocols to minimise risk

·Deliver accurate and relevant Management Information back to the business environment:

  • Be responsible for control monitoring related to overall risk protection pertaining to KYC and AML related client and process risks, taking an end-to-end process view

·Oversee Commodities Middle Office & Operations teams whose responsibilities include:

  • Middle Office:
- Manage the stock holdings for the Base Metals business

- Oversee the physical warehouse inspections

·Operations:

  • Support Middle and Front Office with processing of Commodities trades
  • Analyse any operational issues and risks, recommend and implement changes to gain process efficiencies

·Adhere to the Code of Conduct which sets the standards of behavior/actions/decisions expected


Experience required:

·Experience in Banking Operations/Middle Office, including substantial experience in Structured Trade Finance Middle Office and Commodities operations

·Knowledge of Commodity Structured Trade Finance products (including Inventory and Supply Chain Finance) and risks, mitigating actions and customers

·Broad understanding of traditional Trade Finance

·Knowledge of financing Hard and Soft commodity products through structured trade finance

·Broad Experience on AML and KYC risk themes

·Proven ability to work independently

·Excellent communication and analytical skills

·Strong analytical skills with an ability to identify problems and develop solutions

·Attention to detail and understanding of upstream and downstream processes

·Ability to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members

·Risk Mindset – all employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
